چکیده

Background and Aim: The study objective was to assess chaotic global metrics in malnourished children following power spectral manipulations. Methods: We evaluated the complexity of heart rate (HR) variability (HRV) subjects via six spectra (Welch, multi-taper method (MTM), Burg, covariance, Yule-Walker, periodogram) then, when adjusted by MTM parameters, for further refinement. Seventy were split equally (controls & malnourished) HR monitored 20 min; 1000 RR-intervals attained HRV analysis. Results: results stipulate that CFP1 (chaotic forward parameter) CFP3 are best distinguish two groups. most appropriate Welch, MTM, Yule-Walker. Results indicate calculated using is combination discriminate between Yet, if RR intervals set 400, discrete prolate spheroidal sequences (DPSS) 3, Thomson’s nonlinear ‘adaptive’, a greater level significance can be achieved (Cohen’s ds = -1.57). This significantly outperforms under default conditions (Glass’s ∆ Delta -1.06, Cohen’s -0.95). Conclusion: Malnourished have lower response than control group. with aforementioned settings these groups on basis intervals. It has greatest ds. Our data suggest impaired autonomic function children, which may consequences cardiovascular risks.

Power spectral analysis of heart rate variability and baroreflex gain.

Experimental open-loop studies [1] indicate that when a sinusoidal pressure function is forced onto the arterial baroreceptors, a sinusoidal oscillation is reflexly transferred on to R-R interval and arterial pressure, with a rapid fall of gain with increasing oscillatory frequencies. Sleight et al. [2] addressed this issue in man with an elegant approach employing frequency domain analysis. In...

Power spectral analysis of heart rate variability after spinal anaesthesia.

Power spectral analysis of heart rate (HR) variability is a useful tool with which to assess cardiac autonomic activity. The low frequency bands have been considered as both sympathetically and parasympathetically mediated components, while the high frequency bands have been assumed to be the parasympathetically mediated respiratory components. It has been anticipated that spinal anaesthesia to...
